A visitation for Lloyd S. Fulks, 75, Lawrence will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1,2022, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. He died on January 29, 2022, at his home.
Lloyd was born on October 17, 1946, Batesville, Arkansas the son of Arliss and Rovilla Fulks. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1964 in Pleasant Grove, Arkansas.
He moved to Kansas in 1966. He worked for Sunflower Army Ammunition, Fleetwood Trailer, and K-Mart Distribution where he retired after 34 years.
He loved to hunt. His passion was restoring streetrods, which he had done since a teenager. He was a part of the River City Cruises and always enjoyed time with his friends at the car shows.
He married Wanda Brubaker on February 29, 1980, in Lawrence, KS. She survives of the home.Other survivors include a daughter, KanDee (David) Swearingen; a son, Kevin Fulks (Susan Sweeney); two grandchildren, Dakota (Mollie) Remington, Colin Swearingen; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Ashton; a brother William Stroud.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Wanda: Ray and I always enjoyed driving by your home and noticing what new (old) car Lloyd was working on. You were great Nieder Acres neighbors. I am so very sorry for your devastating loss.
My heart fealt sympathies to you Wanda and your family. I will remember Do Dah and information he shared with me over the years about vintage vehicles. I will miss his bright smile and how he was able to overcome obstacles. May the grace of God be upon you and yours and may you all heal in time.

Wanda, I am so very sorry to hear about Lloyd passing. Always enjoyed visiting with you both when we were neighbors and at all the wonderful birthday parties you had for him. We have great memories of all the cars shows and all your cars, limo and my favorite “Frog”. I can still see him driving the golf cart around the neighborhood. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. I am so sorry I will miss the services, I am in Texas.

We just got word today due to a misunderstanding.
Our dad really loved when your dad would come visit and especially when he would bring one of his cars.
We would hear about how much fun he had for weeks.
