   Rik was a man with unrelenting passion for creating art and bringing joy to all in his presence. I met Rik when I enrolled in a drawing class in 2001 at KU with recommendation from a friend. It was the beginning of a 20 year friendship that changed my life. He shared his knowledge with printmaking and photography and the amount of energy he had for life was an inspiration for all who knew him. Thank you Rik for all the great memories you have left behind.
