Dear Amy, Joann, Pete. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember when Joann came to work and told me Amy was going to have a baby and it was a girl! I can still see her face when she told me Hayleigh was coming. She was so excited. I am so sorry she had to leave this earth. Hayleighs life was important, she put her mark on so many lives in such a short span. I know her family is so proud of her and so am I. Sometimes giving so much of yourself is such big work that it just wears you out. My belief is Hayleigh is in a wonderful place, safe and protected. I would like to thank Hayleigh for giving of herself so unselfishly to all she knew before going to her eternal peace. Hayleigh, will be your fierce protector in heaven and hopefully we will all try hard to live up to the standard of kindness and compassion that came to Hayleigh so easily. Rest easy beautiful girl your job is done, we will take it from here! ❤️ My love to you all.

Amy, Jeremy, Pete, JoAnn, and Carl:
We are so sorry for your loss. We had the privilege of watching Hayleigh grow in the 4-H world; working long hours in Pete’s sheep barn and performing in the livestock arena. Our bonds and experiences forged in the 4-H environment will not be lost and will live on in our memories, as will Hayleigh. Please know “she” was loved as are you all. Prayers and hugs!

I was lucky enough to have Hayleigh as a student when she was in 8th grade. We’re not supposed to have “favorites” as teachers, but Hayleigh was such an awesome kid to have in class. I’d be lying if I said she didn’t bring a little bit of life and fun to my classroom.
Like everyone else in our USD 348 community, I was devastated when I heard the news about Hayleigh’s passing. Know that my family is keeping Hayleigh’s family in our thoughts and prayers!

Hayleigh was a fierce light in our school (she was a student in my 8th grade English class). In addition to advocating for her sport and excelling in her own personal goals, she was kind. She worked well with any individual or group of students in the room. There are so many students I like, but there are also some I deeply admire, and Hayleigh was one. To her family— I am so sorry for your loss; please know we miss and remember her.
