Visitation for Rebecca “Becky” J. Slifer, 72, Lawrence, will be held Friday, December 4, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. ~ 1:00 p.m. at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Please be aware that due to COVID-19 and safety precautions, we are asking her loved ones to please respect and comply with social distancing and must wear a mask. Rebecca passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at LMH Health.
Rebecca was born on October 23, 1948 in Ola, AR, the daughter of Nathan R. Light, Sr. and Ruby R. (Chaney) Light.
Survivors include her children; Janette (Doug Evans) Dickerson, Daniel Slifer, Shana Slifer, Henry (Rebecca) Slifer, Larie Slifer, Skyler Slifer, siblings; Jim Light, Kathy Kurtz, Debbie Erway, Marti Proctor, grandchildren; Kylene, Heather, Ora, Ellen, Tones, Daniel, Cody, Sadie, Austin, Ryan, Patrick, Julinne, Chance, Piper, Hank Jr., Dylan, great-grandchildren; Azura, Malia, Brooklynn, Malaki, Dante, Isiah, Kyler, Tyler, Casey, Xavier, Jason, Jaden, Charlie, Dezmon, Emillio, Ondre, Marcellous, and Nova.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Nathan Light Jr.

I’m so sorry about your mother’s passing!! I remember growing up and seeing her all the time. She is now resting with no pain are anything!!! Much love to all of her children ,grandchildren and great grandchildren .

Becky will be missed. She was always friendly and helpful. She loved her family beyond measure! I worked with her at King/Allied Signal.We went out to dance at Knights of Columbus. She liked to kick up her heels and have a good time. She was kind and hard-working. God bless with comfort all family who lost this lady.

I was thinking about Becky today. She was my sponsor so many years ago, helping me to get clean. I’ve been clean 30 years this year. I owe her a big debt of gratitude. I love her and the life she helped me obtain. She is truly an Angel and be missed greatly.
