Memorial services for David Tuggle, 66, Eudora will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at Hesper Friends Church rural Eudora, KS. He passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at his home.
David was born February 25, 1950 in Baraboo, Wisconsin the son of Kenneth Richard and Alvena (Bond) Tuggle.
He graduated from Eudora High School in 1968 and then served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War.
He was most recently self-employed as a truck driver and farmer. He always enjoyed being in his barn working on machinery.
David married Rhonda Stanley on April 16, 1994 at the Hesper Friends Church. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Austin of the home; daughter, Amy (David) Hastings of Olathe, KS; three grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Steffen of Mesa, AZ; two sisters, Sharon (LaVerne) Musick, Eudora, KS, Pam (Wilson) Snively of Maryville, MO; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death in death by his parents and brothers, Dudley Steffen, Darryl Steffen and Richard Tuggle.
The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made in his name to Douglas County Visiting Nurse Hospice or to Hesper Friends Church and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Rhonda, you have our deepest regards, I was shocked when I opened up the paper this morning. I had no idea, that David had been ill. I truley will miss talking tractors, farm, and dump trucking with him. You and your son are in our thoughts and prayers. If you need any help on the farm or with anything, just call.
My condolence goes to all his family. Dave “TUGG” Tuggle was my radio man in Vietnam Nam in 1970 1st squad. Rest in peace BEOTHER.
I just now read the local paper and seen David’s name,what a shock. Our prayers are coming to you Sharon, Raymond and Pam. We will be out of town this coming weekend, but will keep you guys in our daily prays.
