Virginia Lamb

Memorial visitation for Virginia Lamb, 89, Lawrence, KS, will be held from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. She died on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Brandon Woods.
She was born on April 24, 1924 in Wagoner, Oklahoma the daughter of Eugene “Gene” and Cora (Lane) Lawhorn.
Virginia worked as a telephone operator for AT&T. She retired from Allen Press where she worked as a mailing clerk.
She married RG Lamb on August 14, 1948 in Tulsa, OK. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2012.
Survivors include one son, Roger Lamb, Lawrence; one son-in-law, John Van Nice, Lawrence; two grandchildren, Jason Van Nice, Brandon Van Nice; one great grandchild, Ostin Van Nice; brother, Glen Lawhorn, Wagoner, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Van Nice in 2006 and sister, Faye Crabtree.
The family suggests memorials in his name to the Epilepsy Foundation and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
