Funeral services for Betty J. Wiggins, 92, Lawrence will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. She passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at Medicalodges Eudora.

Betty was born October 13, 1925 in Denver, CO the daughter of Clarence B. and Teresa Ann (Roach) Hollenbeck.

She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Lawrence.

She was a Cook for the food service meal staff at the Lawrence High School.

Betty married Ray O. Wiggins September 8, 1942 in Eudora, KS. He preceded her in death January 30, 1998.

Survivors include her daughters, Beverly R. Knacksted, Janet K. Berg, Margaret Thompson; two sons, Ray O. Wiggins, Jr., Steven J. Wiggins; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Virginia R. Cluff, and Dorothy A. Venckus. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Gloria J. Beauchamp

The family will greet friends at 1:30 p.m. one hour prior to the service on Saturday, December 9th at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Visiting Nurses and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
