Anne Marie Erickson, 54, passed away peacefully in her home August 14th, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born March 25, 1964 in Orange County, California to Theresa Wells and Ralph Erickson. She moved to Lawrence, Kansas at age 5 and continued to live there for the rest of her life.
She was an amazing mother, sister, daughter, and friend. Above all, she was a true believer in Jesus and worshipped him through all of the tough trials that accompanied her journey through life. Her faith was an inspiration to all who surrounded her. She was a very selfless woman who was always willing to give all she had to make others happy. She was always able to keep a smile on her face that was contagious. She motivated everybody around her with her ability to enjoy all of the simple pleasures of life.
She is survived by her daughter Amanda See, her mother Theresa Wells, her sisters Karen Anderson (Tom) and Debbie Mellen (Brian), her brothers Joe Erickson (Bonnie) and Terry Erickson, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is also survived by her best friend of 40 years, Sheila Ward. She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Erickson.
Family, friends, and all others whose lives were touched by Annie’s are invited to the Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W 13th St., Lawrence, KS on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2 p.m. for a visitation that will be directly followed by her service. She will be buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, 2301 S 34th St., Kansas City, KS on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions can be made out to her daughter Amanda See for her Scholarship Fund to continue her college education.
What a wonderful description of Annie’s life here on earth! Despite her many trials, one thing that never waivered was her love of the Lord. Up to the end, she recited scripture and prayed for those of us in need. I cannot imagine the joy she must now be feeling to be ever with her best friend, Jesus, assured, at last, that she is HIS. To Amanda, Theresa, and family, we share the pain of your loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Although we did not personally know Annie, we knew of her deep love for her Savior through her sister, Debbie. Even with all her life struggles, Annie was a courageous fighter and tried to serve others the best she could. She is now at peace and enjoying her eternal kingdom. To her family, we send our condolences and pray that our Heavenly Father comfort all of you during this most difficult time. Amanda, may God wrap His loving arms around you and protect you always.
