Virginia Thompson, 95, passed away on March 21, 2025, in Topeka with complications from Covid.
She was born in Lynwood, PA to Larren Ernest and Catherine Andrea (Johnston) Siler.
She graduated from Lawrence Memorial High School in 1947 and went to Lawrence Business College.
She married Billie Eugene Amyx on May 2, 1947, and they lived in and around Lawrence, KS. They both retired from Southwestern Bell. When Bill became ill, they moved to Topeka, KS. Bill passed away on August 8, 1993.
Virginia married Herbert Thompson on September 1, 2000. He passed away on October 24, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Bonnie Paige, Pat Siler, and Gerry Shouse. Her sister, Joan Harvey survives.
Virgina is survived by her children, Melanie A. Turner (Joe), Robert L. Amyx (Becky), four stepchildren and six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
