Vicki L. Pritchard

Vicki L Pritchard, 69, Lawrence, Kansas succumbed to complications from a year-long battle with lung cancer in the early morning hours of July 8, 2017. Vicki was born on August 14, 1947 in El Dorado, Kansas to Glenn R Rohrbaugh and Fern F (Barnes) Rohrbaugh. She graduated from El Dorado High School in 1965. She resided in El Dorado with her two sons until 1977, when she met and married Patrick Pritchard. They eventually moved to Topeka, Kansas in 1985 where she worked for Westar in Human Resources. It was during this time Vicki enrolled in the Business Department at Washburn and graduated “cum laud” with a BA degree in Human Resources. She and her husband moved to Lawrence, Kansas in 1999 to accommodate her transfer to ONEOK.
Vicki was an avid reader of Jane Austen novels, novels set in the 1700 and 1800 hundreds, and British mystery novels. She loved to work in her yard tending her rose bushes and making improvements to her home. Vicki loved to spend time engaged in activities with her three grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick Pritchard; two sons Cody Fulks and his wife Jennifer, and Corey Fulks of Topeka; a daughter Molly Megan McNall of Rose Hill, Kansas and three grandchildren Gentry Fulks age 18, Alie Fulks age 14, and Larkin McNall age 3.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Warren McElwain Mortuary, 120 W 13th Street, Lawrence, Kansas on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm.
Contributions can be made to the American Lung Association in care of the mortuary.
A graveside service is planned for later at a date to be determined in El Dorado, Kansas for family and close friends.

    So sorry for your loss. I have worked for KPL/Westar/Kansas Gas for 31 years. Vicki was one of the first people I met when I began my job way back in 1986. She also helped my brother get a job at Jeffrey. She was a wonderful lady and a friend. She will truly be missed.
