Timothy E. Clark

Funeral services for Timothy E. Clark, 71, Eudora will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora. Timothy passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, October 30, 2018 at his home.

Timothy was born September 15, 1947 in Bonner Springs, KS and was the son of Oliver and Betty (Courtney) Clark.

He was a retired master electrician who had worked for the Lawrence School District USD 497 for 18 years. He had also served in the Navy for 7 years (1965-1972) as a sonar technician.

Timothy, or Tim as his family knew him, was always dedicated to his family. He would drop everything at a moment’s notice to help. Even if it was a shoulder to cry on, someone to hold a ladder, or especially to be company at a Royal’s baseball game. Any gifts at Christmas or his birthday usually ended up back with the giver, as time with family was, to him, the greatest gift of all.

For those in the Eudora community, Tim could usually be seen walking around town, at times with a grandchild, or several, in tow. He’d even walk out to the country roads that bordered the town.

Tim received great joy from contributing his time to others. During his time with USD 497, he would dedicate his off hours to helping out, including tending a memorial Christmas tree at Prairie Park Elementary School for a child who had passed. For the Eudora School district, he assisted in assembling a new playground set at Nottingham Elementary School, which has been since relocated to the West Resource Center.

Timothy is survived by his children, Matthew (wife Theresa) Clark of Eudora; Kristina (husband Zachary) Gallaher of Lawrence, and Andrew Clark of Lawrence. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Brenda Clark; grandchildren (from Matthew & Theresa) Veronica, Susanna, Rebecca, Gerard, Marianna, and Regina Clark; and one grandson on the way (from Kristina & Zachary). Additional survivors are his two brothers, Terry (wife Karen) Clark, Darren (wife Teresa) Cook, and his nieces and nephews Amber Mazurier, Allison and Spencer Cook.

The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel.

Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to Sancta Maria Catholic School – Eudora, or the Eudora Public Schools Foundation and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

No loss is simple. We may search for true comfort, but it is hard to find. There is hope, and comfort from God. John 5:28,29: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out…” Those who have died are in Gods memory, they have the prospect of being brought back to life. Not only will God comfort us now, but he will provide a resolution in the near future that will reunite us with those we have lost. Please accept my sincere condolences at this difficult time.
