Service times are pending for Thomasine Wermy Ross, 69, Lawrence. Thomasine passed away Monday, December 2, 2019, at Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, KS.
Thomasine was born on April 15, 1950 in Lawton, Oklahoma, the daughter of Fred and Ruth (Hunt-Segar) Wermy.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Ross of the home, sons, Aaron and Lucas Ross, brother, Jeffrey Wermy, Sister, Margo Knifechief and numerous grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Haskell Foundation and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

That always made her laugh. My heart aches to hear Tommie is no longer with us. She was always a lady with a big heart. Stan, and boys I know how much you will miss her. There is a tear in the universe today for you all. I will also miss her. Know that my heart stands beside you.

Stan, Aaron & Lucas Ross, Our Condolences. I myself can not believe it, my heart goes out to you three. Thomasin will surely be missed, she always had a smile that surely brighten our day and always so loving and caring. She has seen my children grow up and my grandchildren grow up as well. You was a second mom to my children and always looked out for them and for all that I thank God for putting you, Stan and the boys in our path. My family and I would like to extend our prayers and condolences to Stan and the entire Ross family. Stan and Tommie were always very good friends to my mother Joni Thompson Murphy, from back in the days of the Renegade Art Warriors up until her passing. Tommie has a real special place in my family’s heart for all the efforts she made to save the Wetlands. The world is a better place for her having been here.
Stan, Aaron and Lucas, I ask that the Good Lord send each of you a comforting spirit to ease your pain and also to know that Thomasine is no longer in pain and in the comfort of her family and God Almighty. Thomasine was always so kind to me and always wanted to know how I’m doing. She did a lot of things that touched many lives and I know that today she is wearing a crown she earned for her deeds here in Earth.
Thomasine will be greatly missed, the Lawrence Indian community has lost another irreplaceable soul.

Stan, Aaron and Lucas, I’m so sorry to hear this. Thomasine was the warmest most loving person. I can’t remember her ever not laughing. She always wanted to know what we were up to. I was just thinking of her the other day. I’m sending you hugs and love. Please hug each other for me until hopefully we can see you around Christmas.

I’m so sorry to hear that thomasine had passed away. I was just asking Josh if he knew how she was. Know that she was a beautiful person who we loved very much.

My heart has been so hurt lately I loss my mom she was truly my mom also she was there to talk to me about what was going on but then again we gain an angel in heaven iam so sorry uncle stan I know that she’s the love of ur life and u were great together and they say shes still with us and the boys we got to stick together cause all we have is eachother sending my love and prayers of healing now love my family in Lawrence Kansas from Phoenix Arizona……. until we meet again.
