Celebration of Life Services for Thomas Lee Denman, 57, Topeka will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Lake Dabinawa Community Center. He died April 8, 2010 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, KS.
He was born January 16, 1953 in Colony, Kansas the son of Albert L. Denman and Mildred Lentz Hartman.
He retired from the State of Kansas and had been working for Bartlett & West Engineers, Inc. in Topeka. He was active and dedicated member of the Washburn Rural school board. He was a passionate advocate for the students and parents against bullying. He was also a soccer coach for a few years.
He married Pam Taylor on May 28, 1982 in Topeka, KS. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Staci Allen of Houston, TX; a son, Brian Denman of Lawrence, KS; two brothers, Jim Denman of McLouth, KS; Frank Denman of Nevada, MO; a sister, LeAnn McGhee of Ottawa, KS. He was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers, Dan and Tony.
The family suggests memorials in his name to American Humane Association and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
