I am so very sad to hear of Sandra’s death. I talked to her Saturday and she was having difficulty talking because of her breathing difficulties.
Sandra was a beautiful lady–inside and out. When her daughter, Tammy, was in Lawrence High School, I am sure that Sandra could have passed as a high school student herself and been elected cheerleader!
My love and deepest sympathy go to her husband, Courtney, and to her children, Tammy, Troy, and Monica.

    Court, Tammy, Troy, and Monica,
We became friends in single adults. We did lots of service projects together for the other singles in our family home evening group. She helped us so many times. We just returned from a trip and was looking forward to a surprise visit to her. May you find peace and comfort during this difficult time. Our prayers are with each of you.

What a wonderful sweet soul who has now been received back into the arms of a loving Heavenly Father. Sandra Hanson was a wonderful example of Christian womanhood. Her kind and gentle ways will long be remembered. She served in the Kansas City Missouri Temple until her health would not allow it. May each family member be strengthened at this time of grieving. May you know of the reality of life after this one. May you feel the peace that comes from the Comforter, the Holy Ghost. May your mind be quickened to remember every wonderful experience with Sandra. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Such positive memories of our days at Edison in Rock Island. She was always sweet and so beautiful in so many ways. I’m sure she was a gift for many people through the years following our early days. Peace on your continuing journey, Sandy.

So very to hear about Sandy. She was a close childhood friend. So much spirit and fun. We visited Sandy and Courtney in California. They were a devoted couple. They were an inspiration to all. We will miss her.

You were my mom’s bestest friend in the whole wide world. Your patience, your love and your fortitude in always being there for her is something I try to exemplify in my life. You have been on my mind pretty consistently for the last six months or so and finally thought to use Google to see if I could reach you or Courtney. I am saddened to hear of your passing. You are loved so very much.
