Samuel L. Brien

Private family graveside service for Samuel Llewellyn Brien, 63, Oskaloosa, KS will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery. He passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Samuel was born April 23, 1953 in Lawrence the son of Lindley A. “Lynn” and Margaret Moyer Brien.

He worked for Brien Plumbing and City of Lawrence.

Survivors include his brothers, Mike Brien, Lawrence, Bradley Mueller, Monroe, WA; sister, Bianca and husband, Dana Reed, Olathe, KS; mother and stepfather, Bea and Chuck Simpson, Olathe; aunt, Mary Ann Bromley, St. Joseph, MO; and uncle Walter and wife Barbara Brien, Topeka, KS; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made in his name to Cottonwood, Inc. and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
