Ruth was a woman with a big heart. She was the cook at my son’s preschool many years ago. She would welcome him every morning by taking him and holding him. She treated the children as if they were her own grandchildren. I was always thankful for her. Such a loving lady.

Mrs. Ramseyer was the best school cook EVER. Not only were her cinnamon rolls a hit I always looked forward to her chocolate sprinkle cookies. When I was in 6th grade I was honored to be one of the students that helped her in the kitchen at Grant. I believe the last time I saw her was at the gathering at Grant when it was being closed and the community gathered to have one last hurrah. It was good to see her. When I think of my Grant school memories she is definitely a part of them. God’s Peace to all of you. She was a special lady.

Ruth and my mother Rose Parrish Smith were the best of friends for many years. I remember them talking on the phone and visiting when ever they could. My Mom really enjoyed Ruth. May you find peace in your hearts and know these two friends are doing a lot of catching up.
