Aunt Ruth loved her family and had the gift of recalling family events and birthdates. We loved hearing her tell stories of the Murphy family from childhood memories to her days on the ball field. She was a true sports fan and could be found watching any KU sport, the KC Chiefs, KC Royals & St. Louis Cardinals, even golf! She loved watching her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandsons play sports. Some may not know that she was an “Irish twin” – her brother Dean was born in January and she in December of the same year. In her later years, she was a “FB follower” of her family and always ended a response to a post with “love you!” She had a huge collection of cardinals & angels, so whenever we see a red bird, we will know she is near! She was a special lady ~ we will miss you Aunt Ruth very much! “Love you!” Pat & Vickie
