Bob was adorable and so fun to work with at HyVee. I really enjoyed him. He gave us mints every day and just cracked me up. At one point in my life my family shopped at Dillons in Lyons so it’s possible we met when I was a kid. We always could find something to talk about. He is missed already.

I always enjoyed visiting with Bob at Hy-Vee. We would compare visits to the slots. He always had a kind word and a smile. After he retired, I would frequently check with his granddaughter to see how he was doing. He was a kind soul. Prayers and sympathy to your family.

My thoughts and prayers to the entire family. I worked with Bob at both Dillons and Hy-Vee. I worked with many of this family at some point. The others Bob made sure to introduce me to them. When I got to Hy-Vee and winter came, we always talked about the fireplace. When it got cold, I would leave work and when I get home there were always 4 or 5 logs in back of my truck. The next morning, he would ask me how the fire was. I would say thank you and he would just grin. He was a good man and always thought of others.
