Bob’s passing has been such sad news. I have lived next door to him for 19 years and I couldn’t have asked for a better Neighbor. He was not only alway willing to help with things around the house but also a great source of knowledge and wisdom and provided much insight to many things in life. We drank many beers and his presence at gatherings had turned into many lasting friendship of people that will truly miss Bob. It wasn’t just the people in the neighborhood that will miss Bob but he friended stray cats, squirrels, bunny rabbits and neighborhood dogs. Truly a gentle soul. I hope to see other Tuesday at the visitation so that we can Celibrate the life hard working, great neighbor and the good friendship of Bob Surles.

I am terribly sad to hear of Bob’s passing. I had the privilege of knowing him for 19 years through P1 Group. My favorite memory of Bob was when we adopted a family to provide for at Christmas and he walked into the office with loads of gifts, one for each member of the family. He was thoughtful, kind and I don’t recall ever seeing him without a smile on his face. He will be missed.

Bob was such a swell guy. Always happy, always willing to lend a hand. Was his life better than ours or did he choose to see it differently than the rest of us? He never seemed to have a bad day. Heaven will be ready to welcome him with open arms. There must be something to be said for Only the Good Die Young.
