Memorial services for Robert “Rob” David Kiefer, 55, Tonganoxie will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. He passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his home.
Robert was born on July 10, 1963 in Lawrence, Kansas the son of John Joseph and Doris Jean (Pratt) Kiefer.
Rob was a long-time resident of Lawrence before moving to Tonganoxie in 2000. Rob joined his dad in the family business, Kief’s Audio/Video, Inc, as Vice President and worked there as a custom installation specialist. Later he worked for Front Row Production in Lawrence. When Rob wasn’t working he enjoyed spending time outdoors.
He married Gail Lynn Kissinger on June 8, 1991 in Lawrence, KS. She survives of the home along with daughter, Baylie and son, John.
Other survivors include his father, John Kiefer (Helen), Lawrence; brother, Michael Kiefer, Osage Beach, MO; sister, Alison Kiefer, Lawrence; step sisters, Heather Wingate (Steve), McLean, VA and Hilary Brown, Lawrence. And many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Kiefer in 1997.
The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the mortuary, Saturday, January 5, 2019 before the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to Autism Speaks and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
My sincerest sympathy to all the Kiefer family. Robbie will be missed by so many.

Was so sorry to hear about Rob No matter when ever I saw him he would always have time to stop and visit with me. The last time I saw him was at Dillon’s we had a Great visit before he left he gave me a hug said we got to have lunch and Catch up. I knew Rob for Many years. He was a Great Guy.
