Got to know and admire Bob from decades of working with him and playing golf with him at Eagle Bend. He was the very definition of the word gentleman.
The world would be a much better place if we had more people like Bob Powell!
God’s love to his family. RIP Bob. 🙏

My condolences to Bob’s family and friends. I only knew Bob from spending time with him at Eagle Bend golf course these past 10 years. He truly loved golf, whether playing or working behind the counter. I enjoyed listening to his stories about growing up in Kansas and his love for sports. He was a devoted family man.

    RIP Bob

My sincerest sympathies to the Powell family. Bob was a kind and thoughtful man with a big heart and great sense of humor.
Playing golf and conversing with Bob was always a joy. Nearly all of us “younger” guys would tell him how we aspired to be half as vibrant, active and capable of playing the game as he did when we reached his age. (He scored lower than his age on numerous occasions. )
He will leave a huge hole in the hearts of his Eagle Bend Golf Course family and friends. One of the Best has left us. God Bless you Bob.

Bob was a lot of fun to play golf with and just to be around. Loved his playing and coaching day stories. Will be missed by many and especially his golf & Eaglebend family. A wonderful human being!

I was welcomed into this family with open arms and nothing but love. It didn’t take long to admire Bob and his love for family. A true gentleman in every sense of the word, passing it down to his son who extracted all the “Best of Bob.” Bob’s smile was a window to his soul. Bob was Always happy and he could sing!
Through observation, I could see Bob cared about everyone and everyone who met Bob immediately became a friend.
The world has lost an angel on earth but gained a perfect soul in heaven.
Rest in Peace Bob and know that you’ve left your legacy here on earth.

A picture speaks 1,000 words – that’s what I thought when I saw Bob’s picture here. I am blessed to have known Bob as a wonderful father to his children, a devoted husband to his wife, a terrific father-in-law to me, and a doting grandfather to my son. The world seems a little less sunny while we wait to be with him again…
