I’ve known Dick since we first played softball 50+ years ago. He was a reliable outfielder on our Eudora Wings softball team for 20 + years. His son Jim started as our batboy & eventually played with our team. We also worked at the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant for Hercules Aerospace in Roads & Grounds. He was a heavy equipment operator. More than that, Dick was a good friend. Kathleen, Dick put up a valient fight and he will be remembered fondly.

Kathleen and Jake So sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you. Remembering a lot of fun times, living behind the “Browns” and becoming Neighbors and Friends was great! Dick was a good person that was always there with a helping hand. I know him and Kathleen loved the summer days, laying in the hot sun, even through we had no pool in our back yards. ..it was Fun. My Love and thoughts are with you two. Take care and I know he will be loved and missed.

    Kathleen and Jake,

Brownie was one of my favorite people. He radiated positivity, and I’m happy to have known him. I missed being around him the past few months due to the pandemic.

    Warmest regards,

    Tom Burgmeier
