Services for Phonethep Thep Souvannavong, 72, Lawrence, KS will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Cremation will follow the service. He died April 10, 2021 at his home.
He was born on March 10, 1949 in Cambodia the son of Koj Da and Boon Da Souvannavong.
He graduated from Lycee de Vientiane College in Laos.
He was an auto mechanic and received his certification in San Diego, California.
He married Phout in Vientiane, Laos.
Survivors include his wife, Phout of the home, his children, Mannyphone Bopha, Phetsamone Souvannavong, Phouthone “Baek” Sovannavong, Lammone Davies; his sister, Pea Sukcharoun and many grandchildren and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, Gate Tong, and Poy.
