In the 12 years that I’ve known you, I remember these things. You were the guy, like in the show Cheers, where everybody knew your name…and you knew theirs. You were the keeper of the family ties. Whatever life threw at you, you made the best of it with a positive attitude and moved forward. You enjoyed the simple things in life…a good cup of coffee, a McDonalds hamburger, a good conversation. You were a loving husband and Father to your children. You set an example of what is important in life. I’m sad you are gone, but happy you are back with your beloved wife Della. You will be missed….

    From your son

    Dad

I miss you very much. I still get tears in my eyes. I don’t mind as it is because I love you and miss you. Like in the song “My Dad”, I can say these words. “When I was small, I felt ten feet tall, when I was by your side, and everyone one would say, that’s you son, and my heart would burst with pride”. I have so many memories of you helping me with life events and in turn I was so proud and happy to have helped you as you got older. I would not trade one moment, one event, one call in the middle of the night from you, asking for help. I would do it all again. I remember you and mom going out every Sunday for a cup of coffee and sometimes even a simple plain McDonalds hamburger. You made the best of simple things. I remember when I would take you and mom out for dinner and both of you would look and look at the menu but you guys would always order the same thing as you did last time. Funny. But that is what made you, you. Dad, I will miss you terribly but in my heart, I know you were lonely and now you are happy to be with mom forever. I Love you DAD! Your son.
