Patricia Fielder, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 27, 2023. Born on August 24, 1955, in Kansas City, MO, her life was marked by kindness, love for animals, and deep connections with family and friends.
She grew up in Prairie Village, KS and graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1973. She pursued her higher education at The University of Kansas, where she graduated in 1977. On April 17, 1982, she married the love of her life, Mike Fielder, and their life together was a testament to devotion and unwavering love.
Trish was an avid animal lover, with a special fondness for horses, dogs, and cats. She found solace and joy in the company of these creatures and nurtured a lifelong passion for their well-being.
Beyond her love for animals, Trish was an unwavering supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs, always cheering passionately for the team. A woman of diverse interests, she cherished moments spent at the family condo at Table Rock Lake, where she found tranquility in nature’s beauty.
Throughout her life, Trish embarked on various professional ventures, leaving a positive impact on those around her. Her journey included roles in childcare, banking, and at the Speakers Exchange Agency. Her dedication and warmth made her a cherished colleague and friend to many.
Trish’s warm heart and generous spirit were deeply rooted in her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Colvin A. Peterson, Jr., and her mother, Patsy Cosby, both of whom shaped the compassionate person she became. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her son Patrick Fielder and daughter-in-law Brandis, her daughter Allison Little and son-in-law Nick, as well as her sister Nancy (Peterson) Howland and brother-in-law John Howland. Trish’s love touched her extended family members as well.
A celebration of Trish’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Lawrence Humane Society or Shy 38 in Trish’s name to continue her dedication to the welfare of animals.
Trish Fielder’s kindness, love, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts, a reminder of the profound impact one life can have on so many others.
