Val, Rick & Family, We are so sorry for your loss. We so enjoyed our visits with Norman over the last several years when we made our trips to Lawrence. He was so knowledgeable of his family history, and we enjoy hearing about it and looking at his pictures. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Nelson & Donna Wharton

My thoughts are with you, Rick, Peggy and Jim(my). I love you all. I am so happy to have been going High School in St. John when your parents were both working there. Everyone trusted Norman and always asked for him to fix this or that ( to be sure it was done perfectly) or just to be the one in charge of anything they wanted done the right way. He was trusted.
He made the beautiful wooden clock that hung in our house for years and could fix just about anything. I loved receiving the crafts he and “Mimi” worked on together and even have his initials on some beautiful pins she gave me. Their home was a second home for me. I will always appreciate all they did to brighten my life. They certainly loved you and Peggy…and when Jimmy was born…even the mention of his name brought on the biggest smiles. I am always there in spirit. Love, Valerie
