Nina Ruth Reed

Nina Reed, 96, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2022, with loving family at her side.

Nina was born in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Ollie and Clara Hogan. Nina enjoyed sharing childhood stories of adventures with her siblings, Kenneth, Clara, and Fred.

Nina married Don Reed and they spent 36 years happily married while raising their family together. Nina was a loving and caring mother to Jerry Jones, Judy (Fred) Tucker, Richard (Arlene) Jones, Herman (Kathy) Jones, Nina (Alan) Cobb, Ed (Mayris) Reed and Donnie Reed. Her 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great children brought so much joy and pride into her life.

A private service will be held at a later date. There will be no public visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made in Nina’s name to Charity of Donor’s Choice and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
