His family immigrated to the United States when he was very young, where he cherished becoming a citizen, father, and homeowner. Nando was trilingual, fluent in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language. He had a knack for learning and fixing things, whether it was rebuilding classic cars, collecting antiques, or enjoying the freedom of riding Harley-Davidsons in his youth.

Nando dedicated decades of his life to managing properties with unwavering commitment and a unique sense of humor, leaving a lasting impact on colleagues and tenants alike at The Rockland, where he last worked. He was someone who embraced every opportunity with determination and a zest for life; known for his boisterous laughter and quick wit, he could light up any room with a joke or a story, finding humor even in the most challenging times.

He took immense pride in nurturing bonds with those closest to him, including his children: Adrian Brannan, Alicia Wilson and Jenny Weber. His role as a father was defined by tough, yet unconditional love and support, strongly encouraging his children to pursue their education and dreams. Nando was also a devoted partner to Kathrine Banks, whose family embraced him as one of their own over the years, forging bonds that enriched his life immeasurably.

In addition to his children, Severiano is survived by his beloved mother, Martha Manriquez, and cherished siblings: Carmen Cruz, Elizabeth Lopez, Ignacia Doggett, Lourdes Handlin, Luis Manriquez, and Magdalena Manriquez.
