I was saddened to learn of Nancy’s demise. Way back at Lawrence Junior High we had lockers side by side. A super lady then and all the
years since. I had the privilege to know her and Tom and what a joy to see their contributions to our area.

Sorry to read of Nancy ‘ s passing .I remember her from her dad’s office when I was little and our cats were sick. She was very nice and beautiful lady and will be missed very much.
I met Nancy at Grant when I was teaching p.e. to Rocky. Classy, caring and give anything for other kids too. Losing a parent is one class we are never taught but with God’s help and family support we do survive. You have a great legacy as children and others in the family to take from your parents and I knew Doc Wempe before your mother. He saved my family’s income many times with his expertise as a vet. God bless you all in your time of need. My prayers are with you.
I was so sorry to hear of Nancy’s death. She was a great lady and so much fun to be around. I am sure she has already arranged a family reunion with everyone who went before her.
To Tommy, Bucky and all of the Wempe/Swearingen family. I knew most of your family a long time ago from Grant, Doc’s and The Pampered Pet. I actually spent a “Career Day” with Nancy at the Boutique. She was even a chaparone on our field trip by train to Abeline, KS in grade school. My thoughts and prayers to you all.
