Memorial service for Michael Scott Blanck, 43, of Eudora will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11th at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence, KS.
Michael “Spank” sadly passed away on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022. Michael was born in Lawrence, KS, on July 27, 1979, to Gary and the late Jeanine (Curtis) Blanck.
Michael graduated from Free State High School in 1998. On October 19, 2019, he married the love of his life, Kristy, whom he had first met at the age of only 13 when they attended West Junior High School together.
Michael was an avid Chiefs fan and forever a Jayhawk. He enjoyed golfing, poker nights with the guys and took great pride in his best role as Uncle Mike; whether that be tossing a football with the nephews, letting the nieces paint his toenails, or cheering them on in the stands at their many theatre performances and sports events. Michael loved his puppies and, although Kristy cut him off after the second one that he smuggled into the house, he still proceeded to ask every day for another.
Michael is survived by his wife, Kristy, of the home; his father Gary, of Lawrence; brothers Anthony (William) and Bryan; and sisters Tina (Joe) and Hiedi (Kenny). He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan, and his mother.
The family will greet friends from 6- 8 p.m. on Monday, October 10th, 2022 at Warren- McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel in Eudora, KS.
Sending love to Mchael’s wife, Kristy. And to Michael’s family. May you find peace and comfort in your fond memories of Michael and in the arms of family and friends.
