Michael Lee Born

Funeral Services for Michael “Mike” Lee Born, 60, Eudora will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora. He passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at his residence.

Mike was born April 8, 1958 in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Paul J. and Arvilla R. (Granneman) Born.
He was a self-employed carpenter.

He married Sherrie Bridgette (Smith) Born. They later divorced.

Other survivors include his common-law-companion of 23 years, Nina Spillman, Eudora; sisters, Marilyn Altemus, Poquoson, VA, Phyllis Stone, Lawrence, Diane Nichols (Mike) Wichita, Nancy Boyd, Omaha, NE; brothers, Ken Born (Donna) Crestview, FL, Doug Born (Jenny) Hampton, VA; sons, Jacob “Jake” Born and Joseph “Joe” Born, both of Eudora; step-children, Shannon Anderson, St. Joe, MO, Anthony Burkitt, Nashville, TN, Robert Burkitt, Eudora and grandchildren, Corey, Ella, Addison, Aspen, Hadley, Harper, Hayden, Maley, Aliyah and Jerzi Rene.

A Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora with visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Warren-McElwain Mortuary to help with funeral expenses.

    To my beloved younger brother, all his family and friends and the rest of our family. we wish to express our deepest Condolences and Love.Yes our hearts are broken and we will miss him greatly, but we will rejoice in knowing that we will treasure all the memories we shared down through the years, and the peace knowing that he is now in the loving arm of the Lord in heaven RIP my little brother, and peace and love to all his family who must continue without him.
