Our family will miss Mike for so many reasons. Everybody loved Uncle Mike. He had a good smile that showed off his dimples. He was a great cook. His family parties had the best food. Mike was a devoted son to our mother. He was always available to her. Mike was the conciliator in our family when issues arose. He was a Will Rodgers type of person. He was always comfortable meeting new people and making them feel comfortable. He was generous of heart. If someone needed help, Mike was first in line to help. Mike has always been a harder worker ever since he started selling the Journal World on the street as a youngster and then on to a paper route. He served his country proudly as a member of the US Navy during the Viet Nam war. He had wicked comebacks when being humorous. He was our sweet Michael.

I hold nothing but good memories of Mike and the entire Nunez family. Made lifelong friends when Mike was in 4th grade and Nick, Maxine and I were in the 5th. Mike was always in high spirits. It’s a lesser world without him.
