Memorial Services for Michael A. Sneegas, 65, formerly of Lawrence will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 28, 2018 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
Private family burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence. He passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at his home in Kansas City, Kansas.
Michael was born February 2, 1953 the son of Walter J. and Ruth Marie (Kite) Sneegas.
He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1972. He worked for Lawrence Paper Company for a few years then worked at Hallmark Cards for over 30 years in the warehouse and foil stamp departments.
Survivors include two sisters, Audrey Sneegas and Melissa (Mike) Sutton all of Lawrence; son-in-law Jeremy Searles of Kansas City, KS; two grandchildren, Kamryn Sneegas and Sylus Sneegas.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brandy Lynn Sneegas-Searles in 2016 and father Walter J. Sneegas in 2006.
Michael was an Amazing Grandpa and always enjoyed his Coca Cola and comic books. He loved comic book creator Stan Lee.
Michael requested all celebrating his life dress casually or in their favorite superhero shirt.
Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
This was sad news. Mike was like a little brother to me. Joel, Art, Jeff and now Mike. They are all missed.

Was always fun when Mike would go walk up to get “ice cream” never understood why he laughed every time. Good times back then. He was always the cool guy with two sisters.
It was a blessing to know Mike and Brandy. What a joy! Thank you for being a part of our family. Hugs, Loves and Prayers to family and friends left behind.
