Memorial service for Maurice “Maury” A. Wustefeld, 82, Lawrence will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lawrence. He died November 20, 2014 at his home.
Maury was born on June 19, 1932 in Greeley, KS the son of Louis J. and Emma N. (Rousselo) Wustefeld.
He was a member of the US Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in May of 1956.
Maury worked in the sanitation department for the City of Lawrence and also started Day/Night Sewer Service.
He married Muriel Ann (Hunter) Maness on June 19, 1995. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include sister, Lois Wustefeld, Lawrence; brother, Richard Wustefeld, Lawrence.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of donor’s choice and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

Hey ole friend, many happy fishing days ahead to you. Rest easy
Your laughter and sense of humor will be remembered. Only the “cats” will be relieved at your passing because you made friends easily and we all mourn our loss. 100 years would not have been long enough. Goodbye, Maury.
