A Celebration of Life for Mary Dee Jarrett (Nance), 77, Eudora, KS will be held 1:00 ~ 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Eudora, KS. Mary passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at The University of Kansas Medical Center from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Mary was born on November 2, 1945, in Atlascadero, CA, the daughter of Raymond W. and Betty M. (Brooks) Nance.
She married Richard Jarrett on March 13, 1964, and he preceded her in death in 2021.
Survivors include her children, Melissa Jarrett, Christina (Andy) Moneymaker, Rebecca Devlin, sister, Carolyn Zumalt, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, and 1 grandson, Nick.
Mary lived a life full of laughter and love. She loved to cook, garden, and play games with her family. She loved watching the Chiefs, KC Royals, and the Kansas Jayhawks.
Mary had a great sense of humor and a true zeal for life. She wants everyone to remember the good times fondly and celebrate her life joyfully. She would very much appreciate any acts of kindness no matter how small towards others in her name.
Our hearts are heavy with grief at the loss of Mary. We know she will Rest In Peace with her beloved Richard.
We will greatly miss her.

Mary was such a beautiful lady, inside and out! She missed Richard so much, now we pray that she’s in peace! God has taken another Angel for sure! I am so very sorry to read of Mrs. Jarrett’s accident and passing. Going to school with Christy I spent a lot of time with the Jarrett family. Although I have been gone from Eudora for many years I have fond memories. My prayers of support and comfort go out to all the family.
