Her many hobbies included ballroom dancing, which she loved and studied at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in California, years of gardening on her rural estate in Eudora, and travel.

She traveled extensively in her retirement to Europe, South America, and the Holy Land on Pilgrimages as she sought to enrich her deep faith life by visiting the sites of Christ and the Saints.

Annette, I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed talking with your mother whenever she was at church or a church function. I still remember how much she loved Roger’s potatoe soup with bacon. She was always so nice. I have missed her over the last year, and now will miss her smile. God bless you and your family at this time.

I was so sorry to hear of Mary Anns death. I knew she was in not so good health these past years but still managed to be a little active–I kept in touch by Rose ,her sister. Mary Ann graduated a year ahead of me in Nurses Training at St Margarets Hospital in KCKs. Have such fond memories of her–how she tried to corral her younger sister Rose{Sorry Rose} and since Rose was in my class of 1954–we knew all of her class as well and they were so good to us. She was a great nurse-and a great sister to Rose. and the love and care she gave to her brothers children after his death we all are aware of and admire. God rest her soul–and she has earned her reward. Bless you Mary Ann. My prayers are with her family now. Coleene Espinosa

    Dear Family,

I had the honor of working with Mary Ann, with her help I was able to hone my nursing skills. She convinced me that nursing was in my heart and to go on to college to obtain my nursing degree, sadly life got in my way but she always had the heart to help me with nursing. I will always remember her beautiful heart.
