Marjorie Goldsberry

Marjorie Goldsberry, 94, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Presbyterian Manor in Lawrence, Kansas. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery in Hamilton, Missouri. The family plans memorial services at a later date.

She was born July 9, 1914 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of Edwin and Lula (Young) Jones. She was a homemaker and a life-long member of the Methodist Church.

She married Marvel (Mike) H. Goldsberry in January 1937 in Muncie, Indiana. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include four daughters, Ann Brown of Alameda, CA; Judith Mitchell of Rolling Hills Estates, CA; Janet Marquis of Lawrence, KS; Kathryn Lemon of Pacifica, CA; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Family suggests memorials in her name to Heart of America Hospice, Lawrence Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund or Charity of the Donor’s Choice sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
