So sorry to hear of your loss. I worked for years at various paint and decorating shops in Lawrence in the 80s and 90s. One thing I remember vividly about Marion is how well respected he was by vendors, that sold supplies to the University. He was known to be very fair, a true man of integrity. Someone that understood several trades, and treated all with dignity and respect. God bless him.

Marion was definitely one of my favorite KU employees. He was always pleasant, sincere, and you could trust him totally. He got the job done, too. Everyone respected this man. It was also my privilege to work with Cindy for over 20 years who obviously adored her father and followed his lead in word and deed. I am very grateful for having Marion now and again in my life and send deep condolences from Shirley and me.

Hello Marion Muckey Family–I was one year ahead of Marion at BHS and remember he played basketball and track. Sorry that our paths never crossed during the years since graduation, 1952 and 1953. I believe Marion grew up in west Baldwin; I lived near the Baker stadium. Glad he had a successful career at KU and wish I had met his Family. My sincere condolences. Charles Hill
