Marilyn was a dear friend for 35 years, and an inspiration in so many ways. I will miss her more than words can say. My heart goes out to Karen and Anna.

An amazing professor. She included women artists in her lectures even when they weren’t in the books – she gave personality to the art and artists – I really liked her and her joy in the details.

She was an inspiration. I’ll never forget her Gothic Art final exam question in which she, as the Abbess of St. Lawrence in the Fields, commissioned us to design a church in the “new” Gothic style. My condolences to her family; she will live on through her books and students.
