Memorial services for Linda Porter, 70, Lawrence will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. She passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at her home.

Linda was born on January 23, 1949 in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Dana and Florence Maxine (Brown) Wheaton.

She was a housekeeper.

Survivors include her son, Shannon Porter (Stacie); daughter, Kareen Porter; brother, Jim “Jimmy” A. Mack; and sister, Brenda Nunez. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Leon Daniel Kidd.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Heartland Community Health Center and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

    I thank everyone for being there for momzie and, Honestly hard for me and my wife now. Glad she’s in the man up stairs kindom still looking down on my brother and I making sure were doing right. Different not hearing her laugh and voice every week. ????????????. But she and others taught us how to be strong and survive and make it with happiness. ???? Amen.
