Linda B. Johnson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda (Linny) Johnson. She went peacefully with her family at her bedside on May 15. She was one of those rare, complicated people that was an incredible force of nature – a contradiction in every way: Brainy and beautiful. Incredibly strong but with a weakness for family/friends. Blunt but compassionate. Territorial but generous. Sassy but respectful. Accomplished but humble. Impatient but forceful/effective. Practical but passionate.

She is survived by her husband Jeff, children Kirsten Watkins, Ryne Johnson, Taylor Johnson, and grandchildren Addison and Owen Watkins, and Natalie and Knox Johnson.

Due to her practical nature, she would want any money intended for flowers to be better spent by paying her – and your – blessings forward to help someone in real need – the poor, sick, suffering, alone, afraid, angry or depressed. Or donations can be made to the M. D. Anderson Cancer in Houston TX. A funeral and celebration of life will be scheduled in the post-Covid era.

The Bible calls death an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26). I’m so sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort help you during this difficult time. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4 & Psalms 83:18). Jesus prayed for God’s Kingdom to come because He knew it would be able to solve all mankind’s problems even sickness and death. (Revelation 21:4,5 & Daniel 2:44).
