Funeral services for Lida Jane Charters, 91, Lawrence will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May, 20, 2016 at Eastridge Church of the Nazarene, 6433 E. Morris Street in Wichita, KS. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita. She passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at The Windsor in Lawrence.
Lida was born December 21, 1924 in Wesley, AR the daughter of Milton and Cora Della (Laird) Lawson.
She was a member of the Eastridge Church of the Nazarene in Wichita, KS.
She worked in data entry at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Survivors include her daughter, Janice (Ernest) Dyer, Lawrence; her son, Robert Beason, Baldwin City, KS; three grandchildren, Zachary (Jenna) Beason, New York, Bryan P. (Robin) Dyer, Lawrence, Brent (Amy) Dyer, Dallas, TX; six great grandchildren, Connor, Emma, John, Tommy, Jackson, and Leah; sister, Reba Moren, Wichita, step grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
The family will greet friends at 10:00 a.m. Friday prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to Grace Hospice or Eastridge Church of the Nazarene and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
