Thinking of Jolene, Brad and Brett at this sad time. I have fond memories of Leon through the years whether it was at family reunions or most recently, time visiting with him as he drove me to the KC airport. He is being welcomed by all our wonderful family already in heaven.
I will always remember Leon for his rascally smile and the stories he’d tell every time I saw him. I think most of them were true! He loved Jolene and his family. He was so very proud of Bradley and Brett’s achievements in life and sports particularly LHS football. He was incredibly creative with his hands and would do anything in the world to help friends. Leon was a good man and will be missed by all.

One of my most significant memories of Leon was playing football with him for the then “Great Bend Black Panthers”. Leon was playing and I was sitting the bench. An unstoppable force as a player; as in his life. To my cousin Jolene and the boys, my condolences. I have good memories of those times and will keep a good thought for you all. JB

Jolene, Brad, and Brett:
We were saddened to hear that Leon passed. We loved him, and all of you, like family, and have so many fond memories of him, Jolene, and Buster when we all lived in Burleson. Leon was kind, patient, and so intelligent! He never ceased to amaze me with his vast knowledge or his generosity. He once selflessly helped me lay tile in our house after he’d put in a full day’s work. To this day, I remember what he taught me. He was a true craftsman.
May the Lord bless you and comfort you as only He can.
