Leith Stevenson

Funeral services for Leith Jon Stevenson, 33, Lawrence, will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. He passed away Wednesday, July 5th, 2017 at his home.

Leith was born December 26th, 1983 in Lawrence, KS, the son of Larry J. and Diana Lee (Mullan) Stevenson.

Leith was a long-time production worker for ICL chemical factory. In his free time, he was an auto enthusiast with a true passion for Camaros, a lifetime gamer, and enjoyed exercising his right to bear arms. Leith will be best remembered for his sense of humor, immense generosity, and love for his family, friends and his dog (son), Bowser.

Survivors include his father, Larry J. Stevenson, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Landon Stevenson and Larsen Stevenson, both of Lawrence; nephew, Lance Stevenson, Osage City, KS; niece, Hymalee Stevenson, Lawrence; paternal grandmother, Joan Stevenson, Lawrence; and his beloved dog, Bowser. He was preceded in death by his mother January 16th, 2011.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13th, 2017 at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Leith Stevenson Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

    Leith the pain of losing you is unexplainable u were always funny in hard times and living life to the fullest in the good. You were the best of all of us such a good kind hearted person I remember all the great times we had growing up and playing video games going to the comic book shop even pogs come to mind. Always loved u like my own brother love you forever hope u rest in peace my family proud to call you that more than ever embrace the rest of our family that has arms wide open to embrace you hug them for me too love you family

    To;Larry,Landon,Larson and Grandma Joan; I’m so deeply sorry for what u all must be going thru. Leith was such a great kid that grew into a awesome man. He was always kind,helpful,full of fun and life. He had many good friends that loved having him as a friend. Leith will be greatly missed from many loved ones,friends and people that he knew from along his journey in life. If any of you need anything please let me know. I will be thinking of you all and sending prayers your way.

    Lady Di is not alone anymore;both Leith and Mom will be watching over all you. You will have them in your hearts and thoughts. A part of them will always still be with you.
