I remember when I first saw him. Good gracious he was so handsome. I have so many amazing memories of time spent with Kurt. Working at Russ’, attending Washburn and Washburn games, haunted houses, Worlds of Fun, Disneyland and countless Royals games. Even getting to say, I was there when the Royals won the 85 World Series. I hope he is resting in peace with Paul and Shirley. Sending my sincere sympathy to his family and all those who loved him.

I’ve always lived far away from my cousin Kurt, when I did see him he was always so kind and smiling. I will never forget going on crazy rides with him at Worlds of Fun when I was a teenager. Sending love to all family and friends.

Kurt grew up to be such a handsome and kind soul. He had a wonderful smile. We worked together in the basement at Westar. He was part of Protection One. People loved him, especially the girls loved chit chatting with him, because he was so easy to talk with. He would engage in conversation with anyone..he had a gift for that. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Kurt was an amazing cousin. He always made sure, and have time for me growing up. I was lucky enough to then become friends with him as adults. Kurt helped me a lot when my mom passed away, and I hope I did the same thing when we lost Aunt Shirley. Kurt was a truly good man, and I am shocked and saddened by his passing. My heart goes out to Scott, Diane, Paula and the rest of the family.

To my neighbor family across the street on Monhollon,
My heart is saddened, like my sister said 52 years ago, that was a while ago.

When my basketball rolled down the driveway, and across the street, Kurt would get it for me. Later in life, I remember shooting hoops with him.

    RIP

I am so sorry to hear about Kurt’s passing. Only conversation I can remember with Kurt was when he worked at Russ’s IGA. We all had fun unloading the Watermelons from the truck. There was Kurt, my brother Jesse, my dad and me.
Russ would allow us to purposely drop a watermelon to share after we were done.

Those were the good times. See ya in Heaven sweet Kurt!
