Oh what a loss,I owe Kevin so much for the friendship, good times, and funny stories that he would tell over our 30 + years of our being friends.I,like many others, always knew that if I was in need,he would be there.Kevin gave me great support when the decision came to move my business out of Lawrence,he knew I could make it work, even when I wasn’t sure.He was right.Kevin had that unique(kinda crazy) no fear attitude. He was here for a good time and did whatever he wanted. My heart goes out to the family that will miss him so.

I am still in shock heard the news. What a great. He bailed me out of trouble when one of my grain trucks broke down during harvest, in a very bad traffic spot. He never passed me up, with out chewing the fat. he did a lot of tow work for the road crew I used to work on, and was always a professional. Laura I only met you once, but you are in our thoughts and prayers. Charlie you are in our thoughts and prayers as well. Many times you took care of all my teenage western wear needs. God bless you all. Kevin see you on the other side buddy. Have the chairs set up, so we can set down and once again chew the fat.

Kevin, when we were young and dumb but knew everything, we ruled the world. With Steve and Scott we were nearly unstoppable. I am having a hard time because so many memories, some that haven’t been remembered in three decades, are flooding back. I would give anything to be back there and do it all over again. You were a great friend, a great guy and you meant a great deal to a lot of people. You will be missed terribly. Rest in Peace and God, please give Kevin’s family Peace.

Laura and Family, So very sorry to hear the news of Kevin’s passing. While we may not have kept in touch after high school, I have fond memories of him, having gone to Kindergarten through high school as well as riding the school bus together. He was such a nice, albeit ornery, young man!! Thoughts and prayers for you all.

Kevin was my cousin. I have great memories of visiting during my childhood summers, at the home of Aunt Gayle, Uncle Charles and Kevin. We caught fireflies, rode horses, and played around at the tack shop. Kevin and my brother Jeff loved their BB guns, and hunted frogs. Our grandmother Maurine Schmidt of Carrollton MO even fried up some frog legs for us once! I only saw Kevin a few times in adulthood, as we live in California. I thank all those who have posted here for giving me the chance to know him a little better as an adult through your words. My heartfelt condolences to my Aunt, Uncle, and all Kevin’s children, and his wife Laura. Our family will miss Kevin, taken too soon, but was doing what he loved.
