Funeral services for Kay Francis Nash, 61, Lawrence will be held at11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at First Regular Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. She passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 at her home.
Kay was born November 27, 1953 in Parsons, KS the daughter of Delmar Nash (deceased) and Odessa (Abernathy) Tolbert.
She was a Rotary Flitter Operator at Hallmark Cards.
Survivors include her mother, Odessa Tolbert, three sons, Brian L. (Denise Davis) Garrett, Lawrence, Dante J. (Florence Laducer) Garrett, Minot, ND, Darnell J. (Jennifer Hunter) Nash, Lawrence; grandchildren, Kimani Garrett, Ahbriana Garrett, Josiah Nash, Jalen Nash, Reina McCoy, Cecily McCoy, Daiijah Garrett, Brione Garrett, Demetrius Garrett, Talya McCoy, Khalil McCoy, Javante’ Thomas; two sisters, LaVerta Logan, Delores Nash, both of Lawrence; and one brother Ron Lee.
The family will greet friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

I worked with this wonderful lady at Hallmark. Prayers for her dear family. So sorry to hear of her passing.

I went to school with Kay, and also worked with her at Hallmark. She was always so nice to speak with and I always enjoyed our talks together. RIP Kay. My condolences to all her family. She will be missed.
