Graveside services for Katherine Josephine Flowers, 88, Eudora will be held at 10:00 a.m. December 8, 2011 at the Eudora Cemetery in Eudora, KS. She died December 4, 2011 at her home in Eudora.
She was born March 6, 1923 in Mankato, Minnesota the daughter of Harry B. and Lola V. (Romig) Hansen.
She graduated from Mankato High School and attended cosmetology school in Mankato, Minnesota. She worked as a secretary for Major Fisk in Washington D.C. and was a Merchandise Manager for Sears in Mankato, Minnesota, she worked part-time for Trudy Robinson as a beautician in Lawrence, KS and was a wife and loving mother to her three children.
She married Richard Allen Flowers on November 10, 1960 in Manchester, Iowa. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers.
She is survived by two sons, Don Flowers and wife Kathy of Odessa, MO and Randy Flowers and life-long partner Rick Howell of Eudora, KS; one daughter, Jo Ann Flowers of Topeka, KS and five grandchildren, Amber and Peter Moody, Darcie Rodgers-Ziesenis, Branden and Brittany Flowers, Kaitlynn Flowers, and Brian Freeman and six great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel.
The family suggests memorials to Grace Hospice and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

We were so blessed to have Kaye in our lives. We had so many good times going on trips with Rich and Kaye, and many hours of good family time. She was a wonderful Sister.Our hearts go out to you. We love you all so much.Art and Aunt Dort

I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom and will never forget the camping trips growing up and the holidays. She was a strong, wonderful woman and we were all blessed to have shared in her life!
