So sorry to hear the passing of Karen. We worked our careers at Hallmarks with Karen. She was so sweet. I had many conversations with her and she always took time with everyone and had a great smile always. She will be definitely missed. Prayers for her family.
I am so sorry to hear that Karen has passed away. She was a lovely person, and she loved her family so much and talked about them often. The last time I seen Karen she was buying her grandkids their Easter candy at Dillon’s. Rest in Peace in a pain free world. We will miss your pretty smile.
Dear Lisa and family,
You do not know me, but I am one of countless people that Karen helped at Pioneer Ridge. In the last year I have been there often visiting a resident. Karen was such a sweet woman. She always went above and beyond her duties and many times I saw her helping residents with things that she didn’t have to do. Never once did she refuse anything I asked for and she always did it with a smile. She talked to the residents and always had time for everyone. Having worked myself in public service, she was a true helper to all. I will miss her smile and her willingness to always help. She always had time for everyone. May she rest in peace. What a great lady.

From Diane & Gary Smith:
I’m soooo sorry for your loss! We live in Kansas City, KS since 1993, but we lost touch with Karen as our kids grew up, jobs, etc. I remember her fondly because she was my maid of honor in our 1982 wedding! She was also there when my husband & I met for the first time at the now gone Sanctuary Club. Such fun/fond memories of Karen & I in our 20s!! A favorite is when we were tanning at her parent’s home in 60 degree weather. Her mom & dad treated us so good & enjoyed us hanging out!! What a bright sunny day on their deck, talking, laughing, & planning our lives. We tried finding Karen again at her N. Lawrence old home just last year, but we never did get to see her again. I’m heartsick about it! We want to attend her memorial, want to bring pictures, & will look for an announcement. God bless Rick, Lisa, grandkids, & the rest of the family. I thank God that she was a part of our younger selves.
So sad and sorry to hear of Karen’s passing. My prays and thoughts go out to the family.
