I remember Joyce from back when her mother was mentoring us during our high school years. Then if of course all those years at O’Reilly Auto Parts.. She was a great woman, and friend. She will be fondly missed by all who knew and loved her.

    Dear Terry,
My sincere condolences. It has been a long time since we were all neighbors on the 1300 block of Tennessee… “Grandma” Farley next door and Helen and Ben up the block. You may already know that Bob died almost a year ago. My health is not very good, but I do the best I can. Thinking of you. Your old neighbor.

Oh my dear Terry… I am so deeply sorry to hear of this huge loss, a loss for you, as well as your girls, and their families.. It is so hard to lose anyone we love, but to lose a sibling is losing part of ourselves, our “partner’s in KID CRIMES” – Joyce was older, so no doubt she “bossed you around” as all older siblings do (it’s their job), I know my older sister Dayle could sure blackmail me – and boss me around, things we can laugh about now.. I remember Joyce from when we were very young, and then of course after she moved back to Lawrence. I am so glad you two had each other, she is still here, in your heart, she always will be. She lived well, laughed well, and loved well, all of you – she loved so much. I think her final wishes to be with Chip show how much she loved. She will be missed, I am always here if you need me, there is no time limit on grief, do not let anyone tell you “you should be over that” by now. Life changes, and we do not “get over it” we learn to live around our grief, our “new normal”.. I love you – always have, always will.. Again, I am so sorry, if there were magic words to make it all better, I’d say them in a heartbeat… Now she truly can hang the moon, God Bless you and yours.
